Services We Offer

Filing a VA Claim

Filing a VA Claim

DAV has served the forgotten warriors of this nation for 93 years. The backbone of our service is representing veterans of all conflicts to obtain benefits from the VA they are entitled to as part of the covenant for their military service. The DAV in 2013 represented over 5,000 veterans and dependents in Massachusetts. The results of this representation amounted to $105,144, 548.00 in benefits. All of our services are free.

Transportation

Transportation Services

Since the inception of the DAV Transportation Program in our Commonwealth in 1987, we have traveled over 10,000,000 miles or 400 trips around the earth. These figures increase with the passing of each day. What is even more incredible, all these miles are driven by volunteer drivers who have accumulated over 750,000 volunteer hours.

Veterans Housing

Housing Opportunities

November of 2019, DAV Department of MA Service Fund Inc. was the recipient of various housing programs formerly run by Veteran Homestead Inc. in Central MA. Now, officially run by DAV Dept. of MA Service Fund Inc., the Veteran Advancement Program is providing more support and services to veterans and their families.

Volunteers

Veteran Administration Voluntary Services

We have approximately 250 volunteers registered at our 5 VA medical centers in Massachusetts. Their duties include escorting veterans to and from their rooms for tests, feeding, reading, personal hygiene, visiting and comforting those who have no family.
