The Veteran Advancement Program, through DAV MA Service Fund Inc., offers permanent and transitional affordable housing opportunities for male and female veterans and their dependents in conjunction with wrap-around supportive services including, but not limited to the following:

  • VA Claims & Benefits Counseling
  • Education Guidance
  • Peer Support
  • Community Activities
  • Food Pantry (household items, medical equipment, etc.)
  • Volunteer Opportunities
  • Handicap Accessible Units
  • Referrals to mental health counseling, substance abuse counseling, financial and credit counseling, home-buyers assistance, and more.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY

  • Veterans of all eras having served in the US Armed Forces and received a discharge other than dishonorable
  • No convictions of arson, violence, or sex crimes

Set on 11+ acres and surrounded by protected wetlands, resides twenty (20), 2-bedroom condo style units. This program is for veterans seeking higher education through college, vocational rehabilitation, skilled trade, apprenticeship program, -or- active in mental health treatment/counseling, ongoing physical health treatment, physical therapy, rehabilitation or progressing forward with the transition to civilian life with respect and dignity.

A short stroll away from the heart of downtown Leominster and our other facility in Leominster, is a mansion constructed in the 1880s. This home offers four (4) single-room-occupancy and six (6) double-occupancy rooms.

ARMISTICE House

(Leominster, MA)

Settled in the heart of downtown Leominster, Armistice Congregate Sober Housing & Studios consists of four (4) studio apartments, five (5) single-room-occupancy and three (3) double-occupancy rooms. This home is staffed 24/7 by Personal Care Assistants (PCA) that provide assistance with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living* (IADLs). Meals are prepared, cooked, and served family-style or individually. This is an ideal housing option for elder veterans and/or those with chronic illnesses limiting their ability to perform IADLs. We promote their independence and offer opportunities to meet their social, spiritual, physical and mental health needs so they may continue to thrive in their environment and community.
